What does EFT work on?
We try EFT on everything. It is widely applicable to both emotional and physical problems.
New to the United Kingdom, EFT was developed by Gary Craig in the United States from Dr Roger Callahan's "Thought Field Therapy" and it has its roots in Applied Kinesiology and Acupuncture. Like acupuncture and acupressure, EFT works by impacting directly upon the body's energy flow. Hundreds of professional therapists and tens of thousands of very enthusiastic users in the United States testify to EFT's unique ability to bring rapid and permanent relief from many problems including :-
These techniques are gentle, rapid and startlingly effective. It is not uncommon for long-standing or chronic pain and phobias to be released entirely in one session of treatment. Similarly, psychological pain such as anxiety depression and addictions caused by traumatic incidents or childhood memories can often be relieved in a single session
It can give rapid freedom from the effects of trauma, anger, fears, phobias, depression, anxiety, stress and other emotional issues. Unwanted emotional pain from rape, accidents and wars are often eliminated in one session - sometimes in a matter of minutes. While the process is not perfect and does not work for everyone, it quite often works where everything else has failed.

EFT involves a simple process of tapping on stress-relief points (actually, acupuncture points) on the body as you talk about your issue. You do the tapping yourself and as you learn to tap away the negative emotional charge, you'll have a very effective tool to help yourself and others.
Many people are able to go deeper into their issues as EFT peels the layers of the onion and at those levels, real transformation can take place. You may be aware that certain situations tend to upset you. It's as if we have emotional wiring programmed into us from prior experiences. EFT helps us rewire the emotional patterns within so that we are no longer triggered in painful ways. It is literally emotional freedom to feel different, lighter, less burdened by the past, less susceptible to reacting with painful emotion.

Modified tapping points for my clients
1. THE PROBLEM
Rate your problem from 0-10, 10 being the most emotion or pain and 0 being when there is nothing left. Repeat this rating, called the SUD (Subjective Unit of Disturbance) number after every round. Continue until the SUD is around 1 or even 0!!
2.THE SETUP
Repeat a negative affirmation three times while you tap the “Karate Chop” point. (See diagrams below if needed)
The negative affirmation is :-
“Even though I ……………………………………………………………
……………………………………… I truly and completely love and accept myself”
The reminder phrase is :-
“………………………………………………………………………………”
3.THE SEQUENCE
Tap with either hand using the fingertips of your index finger and middle finger. Tap (or press) on the following points in this order while saying the reminder phrase order :-
a) Beginning of the Eye Brow
b) Side of the eye
c) Under the eye
d) Under the nose
e) Under the mouth/beginning of chin
f) Beginning of Collar Bone
g) Under the arm
h) Top of the head

More On EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUES
The full Basic Recipe consists of four ingredients, two of which are identical. Before you start rate your problem with the SUD 0-10 with 10 being the worst sensation and 0 being no sensation.
They are :-
1. THE SETUP
Repeat an affirmation three times while you rub your "Sore Spot" or tap the "Karate Chop" point.
The affirmation is :-
"Even though I …………………………………………………………… I fully accept myself"
The reminder phrase is :-
"………………………………………………………………………………"
2. THE SEQUENCE
Tap with either hand using the fingertips of your index finger and middle finger. Tap (or press) on the following points in this while saying the reminder phrase order :-
a) Beginning of the Eye Brow
b) Side of the eye
c) Under the eye
d) Under the nose
e) Chin
f) Beginning of Collar Bone
g) Under the arm
h) Thumb
i) Index finger
j) Middle finger
k) Small finger
l) Karate Chop point
3. THE 9 GAMUT PROCEDURE
Tap the "Gamut Point" and perform each of the following actions :-
a) Eyes closed
b) Eyes wide open
c) Eyes hard down to right while holding the head steady
d) Eyes hard down to left while holding the head steady
e) Roll your eyes in a circle clockwise
f) Roll your eyes in a circle anti-clockwise
g) Hum 2 seconds of a song
h) Count rapidly from 1 to 5
i) Hum 2 seconds of a song again
4. THE SEQUENCE (as before)
